As you’re making your lists and checking them twice for Christmas gifts this year, perhaps you’re wondering what to get for your Christian friend or family member. Here are a few of my personal favorites as well as recommendations from my Christian friends and family members! There are gift ideas for the whole family: dad, mom, kids, grandparents & more. When possible, I’ve chosen small businesses for you to support.

Custom Bibles & Notebooks

A custom engraved Bible would be a beautiful gift for your Christian friend or family member. For something a bit different, consider choosing a different version, such as the English Standard Version (ESV) or New Living Translation (NLT).

How about a personalized leather Bible cover case?! Like this one here on Etsy.

A custom leather journal like this one would be perfect for quiet time journaling or sermon notes.

Faith-Based Apparel

I love the graphic t-shirts from Crazy Cool Threads – their Christmas ones are awesome, like this one:

I think it’s challenging to find non-cheesy men’s Christian apparel, but this design by Etsy seller Christian Life Tee Co is timeless:

I love their mommy-and-me designs, too!

For a 2020 necessity, how about purchasing faith masks?! Like these on Etsy. I love this simple faith design here.

Bible Games

We love this Bible Bingo game from Bible Games Central. Not only is it fun, but it’s a great way to teach the kids about the books of the Bible. They also have a fun, Uno-esque game called Parable Parade and a Bible memory card game (the kind where you have to find matching pairs).

Christian art & prints

This artist based in Jerusalem paints a beautiful depiction of the Israelites crossing the Red Sea here.

This Bible verse with lion artwork on wood would go great in a nursery or an office.

I would love to receive something like this simple faith-based print: In This Family.

This print based off of 2 Timothy 1:7 could be a great gift. There are lots of sellers on Etsy who do fantastic scripture-based prints – if you know that your Christian friend or family member has a favorite scripture, a framed print of that scripture would be a thoughtful gift.

Inspirational Jewelry

I LOVE these mustard seed necklaces from Faith Bracelet Co. I may or may not have purchased these for all of the women in my family for Christmas. (Shh, don’t tell!) AND they’re running a BOGO event right now! Win-win!

My husband, whose style could be described as athletic minimalism, said he’d like something like this or this.

Christian music

Tickets to see a favorite Christian band in concert or, for a more budget-friendly (and socially distant) option, create a playlist of your favorite worship music to send to Christian friends.

Christian Movie/TV Series Gear

If you talk to my dad for long enough, he’ll probably reference a scene from the faith-based television series The Chosen. When I asked him what he’d like for Christmas, he said that he’d love something from The Chosen Gift Store.

So, if you’re shopping for a friend or family member who loves a particular Christian movie or TV series, find some fun gear for them to represent their entertainment of choice!

Bible Verse Cards

We love our Gospel Conversation Cards for Kids from the Daily Grace Co.

And (shameless plug) I have Bible verse cards with discussion questions for the family with young kids in my Etsy shop! I also have Scripture cards for the weary mama – with Bible verses on one side and prayer + journal prompts on the back. We’ve laminated ours and I think this would make an excellent gift for a Christian family!

A Christian Book or Prayer Journal

This seems like a simple option, but it really isn’t! Not only are there thousands of choices, but how do you know if your recipient has already read the book or owns it? And of course you don’t want to inadvertently offend your gift receiver by implying that they’re deficient in a certain area! (Think about it: Oh, Aunt Bertha, I really thought you could use this book on pride, since, y’know, you’re so humble…)

So, if you’re looking for some recommendations, these are some of my recent favorite Christian books and prayer journals:

This is a 52-week-long prayer journal by fellow faith writer Joanna Alonzo. I just received my copy and it’s gorgeous and functional – with space for notes, prayers, journal questions, weekly devotionals, and more. You also might see a familiar face on week 41! 😉 This is a great gift for the Christian woman in your life.

Donation in their name to a Charity

Last but certainly not least: for the Christian friend or family member with an extra generous heart, a donation in their name could be a thoughtful gift. Consider donating to Bridging Freedom, which is a phenomenal therapeutic safe house for girls ages 13-17 who have been trafficked here in Florida. You can donate here and choose “Dedicate this gift” to make it personal!

I hope this list is helpful as you’re finishing up your Christmas shopping this year!

Do you have a faith-based gift you’d love to receive?! Let me know in the comments.
